Being a teenager or young adult can be complicated. There can be pressure to figure out who you are, where you’re going, and how to manage everything in between. Sometimes you know exactly what’s bothering you. Other times, you just know that things don’t feel right.
Individual therapy provides a supportive, judgment-free space to slow things down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and develop tools that actually fit your life. We’ll work together to understand what’s going on, identify what you want to be different, and build practical strategies to help you feel more confident and capable.
There’s no need to have everything figured out before you come in - nobody ever does! Our first sessions are about getting to know you, understanding what’s been going on, and figuring out what would be most helpful. From there, we’ll work at a pace that feels comfortable and focus on the things that matter to you.
Therapy might involve talking through what’s happening, learning new ways to manage emotions, challenging unhelpful thought patterns, building confidence, practicing new skills, or simply having a place where you can be completely yourself.
